Accessibility statement

Last updated: [launch date]

Addiction Support wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who are blind or partially sighted, who find reading difficult, or who navigate using a keyboard only.

Which standard do we apply?

We aim for level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.

What has been done?

  • The site is fully keyboard operable and has a clear focus indicator.
  • A ‘skip to content’ link is available for screen reader and keyboard users.
  • Colour contrasts meet level AA, including in dark mode.
  • All informative images have text alternatives; decorative illustrations are skipped by screen readers.
  • Clear heading structure; works on phone, tablet and computer.
  • No moving or flashing elements; animations are disabled if your device requests this.
  • The site uses no cookies and no trackers.

What could be better?

The PDF files under ‘In the media’ were produced by external publishers and may not be fully accessible. Would you prefer the content in another format? Please get in touch.
